Blue Bloods Universe Wiki
I wish you wouldn't go. I'll miss you so much.
— Bliss, before saying her last goodbye to Dylan.

Bliss Llewellyn is one of the main protagonists in the first cycle of the Blue Bloods series and also the heroine of the Wolf Pact spin-off novel.

Born to Forsyth Llewellyn and BobiAnne Llewellyn in this lifetime, she grew up in Texas but later moved to New York City when her father became a Senator. She has a younger sister, Jordan Llewellyn, who she's very fond of. Bliss is, in truth, Azazel, the daughter of Lucifer and Gabrielle, making her one of the most important figures in the Blue Blood universe. For centuries, she has served as the unwilling vessel of the Visitor, Lucifer’s spirit, who manipulated her actions and haunted her every incarnation. Throughout the series, Bliss struggles with her dual nature—caught between the darkness she was born into and her determination to fight against it.

Appearance[]

At the beginning of the series, Bliss is presented as a gorgeous teenager able to rival Mimi Force's ethereal beauty with her own wild looks but still not as strikingly beautiful as her half-sister Schuyer van alen. Tall and athletic, with curly red hair, green eyes and fair skin, Bliss is the ultimate Texan girl.

There was something about the way the New York girls put it together that made her look like a fashion freak who'd never cracked open a magazine.

She has a model's figure, as she is hired by Stitched for Civilization as a model, along with Schuyler Van Alen.

Biography[]

The Repository believes Bliss Llewellyn is the first true child of Gabrielle, the consequence of a mating with Lucifer, however her exact birth date is unknown. Originally supposed to have been destroyed by the Regis at birth, Bliss' existence is now believed to be the consequence of a betrayal by an anonymous figure. While the exact events are unknown, it is indicated that Allegra was uninformed of Bliss's existence for centuries.

The House of Records officially records Bliss as holding the spirit of the angel Yura, an angel of light. In reality, Bliss is not Yura, as Yura was Finished at some point before. This was claimed by the Llewellyns because of their secret loyalty to Lucifer, and they did not want anyone knowing that she was really Azazel, who was meant to be dead.

Past lives[]

Giulia de Medici (Florence)[]

Giulia de Medici is not a reincarnation of Azazel, she was born naturally into this lifetime but raised under a false identity by Duc Patrizo de Medici (Malakai) and his wife, Antonia de Medici (Andela). Patrizo was present for Azazel's birth, being entrusted by Andreas (Michael) and Ludivio (Metraton) to kill the babe. He betrayed the Coven and keep Azazel alive, since she was the daughter of Tomasia (Gabrielle) and Lucifer, she was to be a vessel for him.

She was tormented by Lucifer from an early age, hearing his voice inside her mind from the start of her transformation. She was pledged to Paolo Ghiberti (Xathaneal) in this cycle, although it is unknown if they were ever married or bonded. Growing tired of her father's voice, she attempted to kill herself at sixteen by throwing herself from the balcony of the Medici villa. She was unsuccessful due to Lucifer's hold on her body.

Mary Brewster / Goody Bradford (Plymouth)[]

During the Coven’s colonial cycle in Plymouth, Azazel was reincarnated as Mary Brewster, born to William Brewster (Malakai) and his wife May Brewster (Andela). She traveled with her parents and the rest of the Coven to the New World. Like all her reincarnation's, she was plagued by Lucifer’s whispers, driving her toward despair. In an attempt to free herself from his control, Mary attempted suicide by dousing herself in oil and setting herself on fire. She survived, healed by Lucifer, who refused to relinquish his hold on her.

Following this event, Mary presumably left her family and later met William Bradford (Xathaneal). The two fell in love and were married. Seeking to distance herself from her past and assume a new life, Mary adopted a new persona, taking the Puritan honorific “Goody” and her husband’s surname, becoming known as Goody Bradford for the rest of this cycle.

Margaret Stanford (Newport)[]

Azazel was reincarnated as Margaret “Maggie” Stanford in 19th-century Newport. She was born to Tiberius Stanford (Malakai), founder of Stanford Oil, and Dorothea Stanford (Andela). A celebrated socialite, Maggie became engaged to Alfred, Lord Burlington (Xathaneal), but behind her public image she was tormented by the same nightmares and destructive urges that haunted her previous lives. She was eventually committed to the St. Dymphna Asylum for suicidal tendencies and delusions, symptoms of the Visitor’s influence.

On the night of the 1870 Patrician Ball, Maggie vanished without a trace. Her disappearance devastated her family—Tiberius died of grief, and Dorothea’s mental health deteriorated to the point of madness, convinced her daughter was still alive. Two years later, Maggie’s body was discovered floating in the Hudson River, preserved unnaturally well for someone missing for so long. This was her latest attempt to end her suffering; she had drowned herself in the river. However, she once again survived due to Lucifer’s control, her body vanishing mysteriously from the morgue soon after.

Current incarnation[]

Early life[]

Bliss was born to BobiAnne and Forsyth Llewellyn in Houston, Texas, away from New York City and the Blue Blood community. This was because the two were loyal to Lucifer, and had decided to beat his daughter for the cycle. She was passed off as Yura on records, a light angel who had in reality been finished. However, they both made it seem like Bliss's mother had died in childbirth and pretented BobiAnne was only her step-mother. Forsyth and BobiAnne married when Bliss was three, and not long after, the couple had another daughter, Jordan (who was really sent by Cordelia to moniter the Llewellyns due to her suspicions).

At some point in her youth, Bliss visited her great-aunt Gertrude at her ranch, where the 110-year-old woman said that her time had come but that she and Bliss would meet again. She died the day after, and at her funeral, Bliss heard her parents say that it was about time she died.

In high school, Bliss was the leader of the cheerleading squad.

Role in the Series[]

Blue Bloods[]

Bliss Llewellyn is a tall Texan transfer student at Duchesne. We first see her at an member only club, Block 122. She's with her new friends, Mimi Force and Aggie Carondolet. She feels out of place, noticing how different city life is. She sees Jack Force, Mimi's twin brother, leaving to smoke, she joins him and goes outside. She meets and befriends Dylan Ward, a outsider from her school. They connect over feelings out of place and being new students. The two immediately take a liking to one another and spend the majority of the night talking.

Bliss learns that her friend Aggie was discovered dead at Block 122 the following school week. She recalls how much she adored her dog, Aggie, later in class. Although she was grieving for her Aggie's passing. She acknowledges that she never knew her. Following the news of Aggie's death, they are let out of school early. She and her younger sister, Jordan Llewellyn, are picked up from school by her stepmother, BobiAnne Llewellyn. Since they were unfamiliar with Aggie's family, Bliss finds her stepmother's excessive sadness at her friend's passing puzzling. BobiAnna informs Bliss that she received an invitation to her school's "The Committee," one of Manhattan's most prestigious committees. Jordan enters her room and questions about her whereabouts the night Aggie died, alleging Bliss knows who did it because she was at the same club as Aggie. Bliss claims that Aggie died from a drug overdose. Bliss kicks her sister out of her room and calls Mimi to share the news of her invitation.

Bliss and her family attend Aggie's funeral. She runs into Dylan, who invites her to skip the service. Despite Jordan's warns of it not being safe, Bliss leaves with him. He takes her to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dylan leads her to the Temple of Dendur. As Dylan leans in to kiss her, Bliss has a out of body experience. She has a vision of herself in the desert, feeling the hot sun on her skin. She feels an overwhelming sense of dread that makes her scream. She finds herself with Dylan again, looking at another painting, unable to recall what happened after their kiss. She asks Dylan if he heard her scream, which confuses him, and he says that after their kiss, they walked to another picture. Bliss visits Dr. Pat, a renowned doctor recommended by her parents. She recounts everything to Dr. Pat, who tells her that everything is normal and refers to it as Regenerative Memory Syndrome. Later that night, Bliss awakens with a ravenous hunger; she searches around the kitchen, but nothing seems to satisfy her appetite. She checks in the cooler and discovers raw hamburger meat, which she consumes raw, apparently gratifying her. Jordan discovers her and questions as to her activities. BobiAnna reacts calmly, informing Jordan that it's usual and sending her to bed. She tells Bliss they have steaks in the cooler as well, and Bliss continues to eat.

Bliss joins Mimi for modeling tryouts at Duchesne. They were both chosen by the company. She notices the director approaching Dylan's friend, Schuyler Van Alen. Mimi chuckles at the idea, and Bliss tells her to be quiet while congratulating Schuyler on being chosen. Bliss approaches Schuyler, who is confusedly saying thank you, and attempts to ask him about Dylan. Schuyler runs off before she can ask. She runs into Schuyler later, determined to ask about Dylan because they haven't spoken since their Met meeting. She asks Schuyler questions, and Schuyler assures her that Dylan is likely to feel the same way. Schuyler entourages Bliss to invite Dylan to upcoming Fall Dance. Bliss takes this idea and leaves a scented note in his locker.

Bliss and Dylan attend the dance together. Schuyler and her friend Oliver Hazard-Perry, approach the pair. Bliss compliments Schuyler dress. The evening takes a shape turn when Mimi catches Bliss kissing Dylan, she angrily drags her into the restroom to confront her. Bliss justifies her decision, claiming she likes Dylan despite him being an outcast in their social circle. Mimi informs Bliss of the Committee meeting the next school day and insists she attend. Bliss walks out of the restroom and returns to Dylan, refusing to let Mimi dominate her life. She sees Mimi's date pass out, Mimi yells, and Jack arrives to aid. He scrolls Mimi's behavior and tells her she needs to be more careful. Schuyler appears and suggests that the group go. They leave and grab pizza before the night is over.

Bliss attends the first meeting of The Committee, she feels reassured after seeing Schuyler and Mimi are also in attendance. Priscilla DuPont leads the meeting and explains the Committee's public role in blood research and raising money. She then begins to question the students if they have noticed unusual things happening to their body. Blue Marks on their arms, episodes of time distortion, or craving for raw food. Bliss flitches at this comment. DuPont reassures the group this is all normal, she reveals they are the new generation of Blue Bloods. Immortal vampires, she explains that the blue marks are the Blood Manifest, a map of their immortal past lives. While their bodies do age and die, their blood is immortal and keeps track of everything. She also explains that their recent pets are guardians created from part of their soul during their vulnerable Sunset Years, 15 to 21. Bliss is relieved to hear this information, not feelings alone in her recent experiences.

Following the meeting, Mimi congratulated her and extended an invitation to lunch. Mimi went into greater detail regarding immortality and the regulations that control their kind. Bliss gets contacted by the modeling agency to model for their latest ad. There she meets Schuyler and the two girls prepare for their shoot; Bliss is captivated by Schuyler's beauty. They are pulled away for a smoke and discover that several of the crew are also Blue Bloods. They model for the campaign; Bliss offers Schuyler a ride, but she rejects. Bliss sees Schuyler being attacked and goes over to help. Schuyler claims the creature attempted to bite and drain her blood, but there are no marks on her.

Mimi convinces Bliss to host a house party while her parents are away. Bliss agrees and is shocked to see her house transferred by Mimi. Bliss searches for Dylan and finds him with Mimi. Furious, she pulls him away and brings him to her room, intent on drinking on his blood and making him her familiar. Before she could, they are interrupted by her father, who discovers them together. Dylan flees, leaving Bliss heartbroken.

Powers and abilities[]

As a vampire, Bliss excelled at mutatio, or metamorphosis. She efficiently transformed herself into smoke, a white horse, a black crow, a spider monkey, and a lioness. She possesses all standard Blue Blood abilities, including super speed, strength, and perfect recall.

Relationships[]

Relatives[]

During the Renaissance era, Bliss was conceived when Lucifer tricked Gabrielle into marrying him, thinking that he was her true bondmate, Michael. Later on, Gabrielle became aware that she was pregnant with Lucifer's child. She gave birth to the child, but her memories were soon erased with magic, and the child was taken in by Duc Patrzio de Medici (Forsyth Llewellyn) and his wife, Antonia (BobiAnne).

Bliss has always been kind to Schuyler despite the fact that Mimi has a strong dislike for Schuyler which eventually leads to hatred. She does not see her as an outcast and invites her to a party in her family's penthouse suit. One time, the two even go to a go-see audition and get featured in an ad at Times Square. Bliss attends Schuyler and Jack's private wedding, and has a dinner with the couple and Oliver before the ceremony. At the end of the series, she finds out that Schuyler is her half-sister.

Romances[]

Bliss and Dylan first met in an alley between the Bank and the Block 122. They had separated from their respective groups and had gone out into the alley to smoke. Despite the fact the Dylan was an outcast and Mimi disapproved of him, Bliss continued to see him secretly.

In previous cycles, Dylan had always been drawn to the incarnations of Bliss. In 1870, he (as the eldest son of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire) was engaged to marry Margaret Stanford (Bliss) before her disappearance.

At the end of the series, Bliss sees his spirit smiling along with those who have perished before and during the battle. Because salvation for the Blue Bloods have been earned, he is one of those who gain entry back to Eden.

Quotes[]

She didn't fit in anywhere. She didn't know why. Was there ever anything so ridiculous as a sociophobic cheerleader? Girls like her weren't supposed to have any problems. They were supposed to be perfect. She felt odd and out of place.
— Bliss Llewellyn. [src]

Jordan Llewellyn: "You know who did it, don't you? You were there."
Bliss: "What do you mean?"
Jordan Llewellyn: "You know."
— Jordan, trying to warn her older sister about her father's soul.

Notes[]

  • Bliss Llewellyn has her own spin-off novel, Wolf Pact. It is the only novel to be sold at first in parts, and only Blue Bloods-focused spinoff to not be subtitled "A Blue Bloods Novella".
  • Bliss is the only vampire or angel known never to have the chance to enter Heaven, as she was born after the angels fell, but by the time the gates to paradise were reopened, she was a Wolf.
  • She is also the third-youngest vampire to exist, after Schuyler Van Alen (born half-vampire), and Oliver (made a vampire at the end of the series)
  • She is one of the only characters not mentioned after the events of Gates of Paradise.
  • She is one of the few characters to change species throughout the course of the series; the other being her cycle sister, Jordan Llewellyn, and Oliver Hazard-Perry.
    • However, she is the only one to change twice; first time from Blue Blood to mortal, then from mortal to Wolf.
