The Old DaysEdit

Back in the days of Asgard, Loki, the God of Mischief, was causing all kinds of trouble in the land of the Gods. Son to the King of them all, Odin, Loki became a good friend with Fryr, the God of the Sun, with whom he spent most of his time. At some point, Loki discovered Fryr had a twin sister, and stunned by her beauty, he instantly fell in love with her. Freya, the Goddess of Love, had struck a heart again.

But it was not the first time that a Vanir Goddess had charmed an Aesir. Before them, Odin had wooed Skadi, the Mother Goddess of Earth and mother of Freya, to no result, as she had already fallen in love for another. And Loki was not the only one competing for Freya's attention - another God had even captured her heart in return, and this God was none other than Balder, the God of Beauty, and Loki's very own brother...

Jealous of their relationship, Loki build up a plan to get rid of his brother, and he succeeded, throwing a poisoned arrow into Balder's heart, which killed him.
