Catherine de Sienna, formerly known as Alcyon, was a member of the Order of the Seven. She was the gatekeeper of the Gate of Promise, responsible for the Path of the Dead located in Cairo. Her brother was Mahrus, an archangel of the Light who is in contact with the Almighty and Gabrielle and uses the Gate of Paradise as a path from Paradise to Earth. During a battle in Hell, he was fatally wounded, and was called back to Paradise.
