Dylan Ward is a secondary character who had a significant role in the first four novels of the Blue Bloods series. Born to unknown parents in this cycle, as they chose to live off-coven, he had arrived in Duchesne recently when began Blue Bloods. In this cycle, he was drawn to Bliss Llewellyn, and his attraction was mutual.

Dylan Ward is described as a gorgeous young man with black hair and eyes. He has a thin, lean body and is distinguished by his long eyelashes, which give his look a stunning intensity.

Those who pay close attention to him often note a lingering grief in his eyes, as well as a haunting quality in his demeanor. His smile is described as bashful, adding to his understated charm. Dylan usually wears a beat-up black leather jacket, soiled T-shirts, and worn jeans, giving him an openly defiant, bad-boy image that distinguishes him from the pristine Blue Blood elite at Duchesne. This style adds to the sense of danger and mystery that surrounds him.
Biography[]
Xathaneal, the Hidden One, was an angel of secrecy and shadow, known for his ability to move unseen and conceal divine knowledge. During the War of Heaven, he sided with Lucifer and joined the host of rebellious angels who defied the Almighty.
For his part in the rebellion, Xathaneal was cast out of Paradise alongside the other fallen. He was cursed to live eternally on Earth as a Blue Blood. Immortal, bound by blood, and forever seeking redemption for his betrayal.

Paolo Ghiberti (Florence)[]
One of the earliest reincarnations of Xathaneal is Paolo Ghiberti. He was a renowned artist who lived in Florence during the Renaissance. he was known for his extraordinary skill in metalwork and sculpture.
He was pledged to marry Giulia de Medici (Azazel) in this cycle.
William Bradford (Plymouth)[]
Xathaneal was reincarnated as William Bradford of Plymouth. He followed the other Blue Bloods as they left England for the promise of a New World.
Very little is known about this past life. Though it is likely he helped establish the new Coven in the New World.

Early life[]
The Wards family were an off-Coven Blue Blood family that had chosen to live outside Committee jurisdiction. The Wards were reclusive and rarely involved in Coven affairs. He grew up away from the Blue Blood community, attending Greenwich elementary and middle schools. Where he was described as an average student, quiet but perceptive. During his sophomore year of high school, he transferred to the elite private school, Duchesne. Rumors quickly spread that he had been expelled from several prep schools. Although these rumors were exaggerated, his withdrawn demeanor and rebellious style fueled the gossip. He quickly made friends with Schuyler Van Alen and Oliver Hazard-Perry, sharing their same outcast status.

Blue Bloods[]
Dylan ward first appears out the Bank nightclub, he was meeting friends Schuyler Van Alen and Oliver Hazard-Perry. He went out for a smoke where he meets Bliss Llewellyn. He offers her a lit and the two quickly begin talking. The two are drawn to one another. They are both new students at Duchesne, a elite private school. They continue to talk for hours.
After the weekend, Dylan was in attendance with Schuyler and Oliver when the Dean of Students announced the death of Aggie Carondolet. He quietly whispers to his friends that he had seen her earlier that weekend. He informs them that Aggie had apparently died of an overdose. After the modest announcement ceremony, Dylan tried to get a few words of comfort to Bliss, but she ignored him.
At Aggie Carondolet's funeral, Dylan tried to sneak out, only to bump into Bliss again. Together, they went to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts and there, Dylan suggested they go see the Temple of Dendur. He asked Bliss to close her eyes and helped her walk through the alleys, until they arrived at the Temple. Amazed at the sight of it, Bliss and Dylan kissed and then pursued their visit.
The fall dance is around the corner, Bliss leaves a scented note asking Dylan to the dance. They both go together, seeing Schuyler and Oliver there as well. Bliss is pulled away by Mimi Force, her friend. Bliss returns and they continue to enjoy their join. They hear a scream from Mimi and rush to see Jack Force, her twin, scolding her about her passed out date. Schuyler comes in to see what's going on, the three leave and grab pizza.
Dylan attends Bliss' house party, finds Mimi, and offers her a drink. Mimi asks for help carrying something, and he follows her. Bliss discovers Dylan and is outraged to see him with Mimi. They walk to her room and start to make out. They are interrupted by Bliss' parents, who have arrived home early from a work trip. He runs away.
Dylan is arrested at Duchesne for the murder of Aggie, after police discover his DNA beneath her fingernails. The news shocks the entire school and his friends. He is taken into custody and spends time in jail before Charles Force quietly arranges for his release, claiming the charges were a mistake. For his protection, Dylan is placed under watch in a hotel suite. Soon after, he escapes. That night, Dylan appears unexpectedly in Bliss's bedroom, weakened and covered in blood. He confesses that he knows they are both Blue Bloods, a secret race of vampires. His memories are fragmented, and he admits he fears he may have hurt Aggie. Dylan warns Bliss that “they’re coming for all of us” before disappearing into the night, leaving behind his blood-soaked leather jacket.

Mischievous, loyal, rebellious and sarcastic. His bad boy reputation was well known however with Bliss he seemed to shed a few layers exposing the weakness beneath.
Humble, he maintains good relationships with the staff at Duchesne, never looking down on them, even knowing their names.

Powers and abilities are presumed to be that of any other Blue Blood; perfect recall, access to memories of past Expressions, super speed and strength, a fast metabolism, and access to the Glom.

The two meet in the 1st book and instantly hit it off at The Bank the night Aggie died. Their destructive relationship leads Dylan eventually to his demise, Bliss' Silverblood status meant that she eventually caused him to fall into insanity. Neither had an official bond mate, however it would appear they were destined to meet. This was because they, in past lives, usually the two bonded. Following Dylan's death Bliss never recovered.
