Ulric, also nicknamed "The Big Wolf" by Lawson, was one of the Wolves who belonged to Marrok's den. He was killed by the Hell Hounds while he was keeping safe the passage of time Lawson had taken to Rome. He must have a been a brave and fierceful warrior, as Lawson noted he was standing at the end of the cave, being surely the last Wolf to be killed during the battle.
