Wolf Pact (Part 1) is the first part of Melissa de la Cruz' novel Wolf Pact, the spin-off of the Blue Bloods series. It was released on September 25, 2012 in the United Kingdom and on October 2, 2012 in the United States.

Synopsis[]

Lucifer's Dogs, Hellhounds are nothing but violent, cruel beasts, soldiers in Hell's army. The ancient wolves were proud guardians of the timeline once, but no more. In the underworld, wolves are turned into hellhounds on their eighteenth moon day, becoming nothing more than an extension of their dark master's will. But Lawson's pack escapes their fate, fleeing aboveground. But when the hounds capture the girl he loves, he risks everything — even their newly found freedom — to win her back. Lawson must discover the truth of the wolves' heritage, and the truth about himself. But an unexpected discovery leads them to the one person who may be the key to winning the inevitable confrontation to come.

Meanwhile, Bliss Llewellyn is adjusting to humanity after giving up her immortal vampire life. Given a task by her mother to find the wolves, she and her Aunt Jane unravel a mystery of a burned house on the outskirts of Cleveland, when a chance encounter with a broken girl at a mental hospital leads to Jane's kidnapping by the Hounds of Hell. Bliss will do whatever it takes to save her — even if it means joining forces with the dangerously good-looking boy with a wolf's soul and a too-intimate knowledge of Jane's captors.

Five Wolves manage to escape from Hell : Lawson, Edon, Rafe, Malcolm and Tala. They unfortunately leave many friends behind, and among them, Ahramin. On Earth, their body assumes human shapes. While running far from the portal to distance the Hellhounds, they meet Arthur Beauchamp, who teaches what they need to know about themselves, their history and the world they want to leave in.

While it is only the first part of the novel in the English paperback format, Wolf Pact (Part 1) is sold as a single short e-book separately from the other parts of the novel.
This e-book should be read after The Van Alen Legacy.
